David Aversa, MD, Celebrates 10 Years of Practiced Psychiatric Experience
Dr. Aversa earned a Resident Teaching Award for Adult Psychiatry through Yale University
HAMDEN, CT, February 9, 2018, David Aversa, MD, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Over the course of 10 years, Dr. Aversa has honed his expertise in psychiatry working as a clinical and forensic psychiatrist for the Connecticut Psychiatric and Wellness Center. Additionally, he serves as a professor at Yale Medical School, his alma mater, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine and pursued a residency and two fellowships in various aspects of the field. He was inspired to pursue this path because of his work at a boarding school for children with disabilities.
In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Aversa maintains affiliations with the Connecticut Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Academy of Child Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. Throughout his career thus far, he has been recognized a number of times for his work, earning the Resident Teaching Award for Adult Psychiatry through the Yale Adult Psychiatry Department and the Fellowship Teaching Award through the University’s Child Study Center. Looking ahead, Dr. Aversa intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
