Edmond Johnson Recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for Excellence in Higher Education

GREAT BEND, KS, May 11, 2016, Edmond C. Johnson has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Preceded by a reputation for professional excellence in organizational development and humanities, Mr. Johnson boasts more than three decades of experience as an educator. His key areas of competency include social sciences, behavioral sciences, higher education and sociology, as demonstrated by his advisory and educational roles with Barton Community College. An educator through and through, Mr. Johnson provides learning-centered curriculum, innovative teaching methods, and a focus on teaching the importance of community leadership. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded in 2006 by the National Institutional Staff and Organizational Development committee at the University of Texas.
Throughout his career, Mr. Johnson has held a number of noteworthy positions, including chair of the humanities department at Barton Community College, and social sciences and sociology instructor. He remains at the top of his field through his affiliation with the American Sociological Association. Looking ahead, Mr. Johnson intends to continue working in an advisory role with the college to help future professionals gear up for career success.
