James Sullivan Celebrated for Successful Career as a Business Owner
For years, Mr. Sullivan has been gaining experience selling products for various companies

Following his retirement from the U.S. Postal Service in 1998, Mr. Sullivan joined GNLD International and was a senior member of the firm from 2013 to 2015. The company offers NeoLife products, which are crafted for nutritional, personal and home use. Established in 1958 to help people take control of their health and live healthier lives, GNLD operates in over 50 countries across the globe. Mr. Sullivan is also the owner of Jerry’s Barber Shop in Bad Axe, Mich. A true entrepreneur, he has gained expertise working for a wide variety of companies. Previously, he held several other roles, including rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, sales representative for Thumb Blanket and the radio station WLEW, distributor water specialist at AlkaViva, treasurer for the Colfax Township, purchasing agent at Thumb Electric Cooperative and regional manager for Primerica. He also served as a loss clerk for Toplis & Harding, Wagner & Gliddon; an elected president for the Michigan chapter’s Armed Forces Veterans Club of the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association; and an independent distributor for alkaline antioxidant ionier multi-clustered water for the State of Michigan notary public.
Mr. Sullivan stays active in a number of organizations to remain current with his industry. He maintains affiliation with the Huron County Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, the Armed Forces Veterans Club of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association, The American Legion, 4-H Club, the Knights of Columbus, the Tip of the Thumb Dance Club, the National Armed Forces Veterans Club, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association and more. He has also been the president of the Huron County Township Association, as well as leader of the Bad Axe division of the Boy Scouts of America. He is currently a lector for the Ushers Club of the Sacred Heart Church, as well as a Eucharistic minister and notary public.
The start of Mr. Sullivan’s career began as a student at the University of Detroit Mercy and Highland Park College in the late 1950s. Prior to this, he served in the U.S. Army for two years. Due to his successful efforts over the years, Mr. Sullivan was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who in the World.
Mr. Sullivan doesn’t seem to be hanging up his hat anytime soon, despite his already prolific career. His role at Jerry’s Barber Shop will only bring him more success throughout the years. When he’s not performing duties for either business, Mr. Sullivan can be found gardening, golfing, swimming or fishing.
